Wine Dark Sea is The Groves' second EP. It opens with the hard, raw blues upon which the band has made their name, before delving into a new, more psychedlic direction for the group.

The EP was launched at a sold-out Evelyn Hotel with support from local acts Hambone & The Prospectors and Kinloch Troons.

Wine Dark Sea was captured at Black Pearl Studios by Julian Mendelsohn and at Blank Tape Studios by Cesar Rodriguez. Vocalist Antoni Ricciardi mixed the tracks at his own Whistling Static Studios, and mastered the recordings with Jack The Bear.
